Martin Luther King Jr. Service Project Weekend

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Project serves low-income, older adult homeowners in the city of Decatur by performing minor home repairs, home clean-outs, and weatherizations. As part of the Climate Resilience Plan Task Force, we serve our community by supporting their weatherization and waste diversion efforts. Join us on Saturday January 17th and Monday January 19th to join your fellow students, staff, faculty, and alumnae as we help sort through clothing and recyclables generated in home clean-outs. Shifts will start at 9 AM and 1 PM.

Be prepared to lift up to 20 lbs! Gloves, transportation, and breakfast or lunch will be provided, feel free to bring a mask if you’d like as there may be light dust.

Please indicate which shift you would like to work when signing up on Scotties Serve. When you sign up on the MLK Service project website, please sign up with a group and select the group Agnes Scott Sustainability.
